Preheat the oven to 190C/375F. Melt the margarine with the golden syrup in a large saucepan. Meanwhile, mix together the oats, raisins and sunflower seeds in a seperate bowl. Stir the melted margarine and syrup into the oat mix, then spread the mixture into a lightly greased 18 x 28 cm (7 x 11 inch) shallow baking tin. Place in the reheated oven for about 20 mins, then remove and mark out 16 squares.
Leave to cool, then eat :)
Makes about 16 flapjacks.
I mentioned my homemade fruity flapjacks in a previous thread, so I thought that to raise my alt.food.vegan karma I'd share it with you.
I tried this with dried apricots in place of the raisins, and walnuts instead of the sunflower seeds, and they were equally tasty.
