Peel those suckers and cut into thin rounds. Fry in a skillet in about 1/2 inch / 13 mm really hot oil. Fry until they're tender and golden brown. This is a swell addition to your breakfast regimen.
NOTES
Plantains are similar to the banana and can be found in most grocery stores and grocery markets. They're like a banana except thicker, less sweet, and I think they taste sorta potato-like when cooked.
