Combine the apples and lemon and let sit while preparing the rest (I'm allergic to raw apples and this step seems to get rid of whatever I'm allergic to).
Cheese Sauce
***Many thanks to Mr Falafel for posting this as part of a mac & cheez recipe awhile back.
Heat oil, whisk in flour, add carraway and garlic, cook for minute or two. Add mustard, tumeric, shoyu, water, and nutritional yeast; whisk and cook until it gets saucy and thick. Keep warm.
Cabbage and assembly
Steam cabbage just until tender (10-12 minutes) in large saucepan. Toward end of cooking, add apples. Just before serving stir in cheese sauce.
