In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Stir fry the tofu, mushrooms and green pepper until the tofu is golden brown, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic, onions and ginger and cook 1 minute more. Add the soy sauce, water and pepper and simmer for about 5 minutes.
Serve over rice or noodles.
