Cook lentils in boiling water for 10 minutes. Fry the onion and garlic for 10 minutes. Strain the lentils. Add onion and garlic to the lentils with the tomatoes, tomato puree and oregano. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile cook the spaghetti and when ready drain and serve with the lentil mixture.
