Quiche

Quiche - Tofu - Make this your favorite recipe - Upload a new picture for this recipe


INGREDIENTS
    • Bought plain flour pie shell

      Filling

    • 1 1/2 cups firm silken tofu
    • 1 1/4 cups water
    • 1/3 cup nutritional yeast
    • 1/3 cup quick cooking rolled oats
    • 4 T cornstarch
    • 3 T lemon juice
    • 1 T onion powder
    • 1 t salt
    • 1/8 t turmeric
    • 1/2 cup onions, sliced thin
    • 3 cups frozen broccoli florets, reheated
    • 1 cups frozen spinach, reheated
    • 1/2 cup frozen peas, reheated
    • 1/2 cup frozen carrots, chopped, reheated

METHOD
1. Blend filling ingredients (minus veggies) until oats are finely ground and sauce is smooth.

2. Place filling with scallions in a saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring constantly. Reduce to low heat, beating continuously with whisk until thick and smooth.

3. Pour over warmed veggies, mix well (sauce will be thick and stretchy). Spoon filling into crust.

4. Bake 25-30 minutes, until golden brown. Let it sit 10 minutes before serving.
