Maeun Dok Bokum (Spicy Rice Cakes)

INGREDIENTS
    • 1 T sesame oil
    • 1/2 cup diagonally sliced celery
    • 1 carrot, thinly sliced on the diagonal
    • 3 green onions, cut into 1 inch / 2.5 cm pieces
    • 2 cups rice cakes thinly sliced (1/4 inch / 7 mm thick) on the diagonal
    • 2 T soy sauce
    • 1 T gochujang or chili-garlic paste
    • 2 T sugar
    • 2 T water

METHOD
In a wok or large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the celery, carrot and onions. Stir fry for 1 minute.

Add the sliced rice cakes, and stir fry 1 minute.

Add all of the rest of the ingredients. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve warm.
