Irish Soda Bread (Yeast Free)

INGREDIENTS
- 1 t salt
- 1 t sugar
- 1 t cream of tartar
- 1 t bicarbonate of soda
- 250 g / 1 cup plain flour
- 450 g / 1 lb wholemeal flour
- 475 ml / 1 pint soy milk, mixed with
- 1 T soy yoghurt
METHOD
Sieve all the dry ingredients together into a large bowl. Make a well in the centre and add the mixed milk and yoghurt, and mix until the dough leaves the side of the bowl. Knead into a ball, flatten slighly and place onto a greased baking tray. Cut a deep cross into the top of the loaf and bake in a preheated oven at 200C/390F for 40 minutes.
