Whipped Cream (Version 1)

INGREDIENTS
    • 1 lb / 450 g soft silken tofu
    • 1 T vanilla extract
    • 1/4 cup of sugar
    • 1/4 cup vanilla soy milk

METHOD
Blend! Add the soy milk last, a little at a time.

Liquid! Nothing but liquid! Someone please explain to me how this is supposed to resemble a whipped topping when it's running off of my food and puddling on my plate! >:P I just went out and wasted my money on these ingredients. Now I have pancakes with strawberries and no cream to speak of. I'm angry.

When preparing whipped cream the 'normal' way, everything has to be ice cold - of course not so cold that the milk has ice in it. But cold milk does best. I wonder if that might help in this recipe... I have not tried this as of yet, but when I had troubles with making whipped cream, this is the suggestion my mother always gives. I hope this helps.
