Place the potatoes in a large pan of lightly salted water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 8 minutes. Add the apples and cook for 2 minutes until just tender. Drain and return to the pan. Heat over a low flame for 1 minute to drive off and excess moisture.
Add the margarine, chilli sauce and soy cream to the pan. Heat for 1 minute, then mash until smooth. Season to taste.
