Teriyaki Sauce (Version 2)
Condiments - Sauce -
-
INGREDIENTS
- 1 onion
- A bit of shredded horseradish (about a t or so...)
- 2 stalk leeks
- 1 stalk of celery
- 2 tomatoes
- Pepper
METHOD
I chopped the onion, sliced the leeks and "peeled" the celery and cut it into quarters, which I sliced. Then I fried the onion and horseradish together for about five minutes, added the leeks and fried for a short while and then the celery - fried again for about ten minutes. Added a big splash of teriyaki sauce (on a dry pan, like with the last one) and blended it in - then I added the tomatoes, squashing them into the frying pan, to break them and to get the fluids from them, added water - let it all simmer for a while, with a lid on it (while the rice setteled) and added a bit of pepper as it was almost done.
NOTES
This was a bit more spicy and the horseradish added an interesting extra touch - but still sweet and very wintery. This one I had with rice.
