Blend oil, margarine, and sugar together until smooth (most important part, using a mixer for 2-3 minutes). Sift all remaining dry ingredients together. Blend all wet ingredients together in a separate container. Slowly start to blend ingredients by alternately adding dry and wet ingredients to sugar mix.
Grease two 8 inch / 20 cm cake pans or paper 24 cupcake holes. Preheat oven to 350F/180C. Bake for 35 minutes or until done.
If you want the chocolate version add 3 T cocoa powder and use 10 T margarine and no oil.
