Red Wine Pasta Sauce

INGREDIENTS
2 Teaspoons Olive Oil
1 small Onion, diced
1 26-27 Ounce can of diced tomatoes (Puree in the can with an immersion blender if you like the sauce smooth. Leave chunky or mash slightly in the pot if you like more texture.)
1 10 Ounce can Vegan condensed tomato soup
1/4 Cup water
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1/4 Teaspoon black pepper
1/2 Teaspoon onion powder
1/2 Teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 Teaspoon powdered rosemary
1/2 Teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 Cup red wine
2 Tablespoons Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP)
METHOD
Saute the onion in oil then add all other ingredients - adding the Textured Vegetable Protein last.
Simmer for about forty minutes or until onions are soft and sauce is reduced to a pleasing texture.
I noticed a Red Wine Pasta recipe. In the UK many stores label their alcoholice beverages, as a lot of wines and beers (and some spirits) use aminmal products in the fermenting process. As a newcomer to this site, I'm not sure how aware other users are of this. Just thought I'd throw it out there.
