Cut each romaine heart in half leaving the stem on, spray with a little olive oil, sprinkle on salt and pepper. Grill for a couple minutes on each side until a little bit browned, a bit wilted, and serve with tasty croutons and an olive oil/nutritional yeast/garlic/lemon juice dressing.
I like it with Granny Smith apples and white raisins on top. You can either serve each guest a whole half a romaine heart, or cut it all up for everybody... depends on whether or not you've got disposable plates and utensils!
Sooooo yummy. It's got this totally great sort of smoky grilled flavor that just kicks ass. Just surprisingly so much better than you'd think a caesar salad could be.
