In a frying pan over low/medium heat, saute the onion in 1 tablespoon of the oil 'til golden. In a large mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients except the remaining 2 tablespoons oil. Mold the mixture into 12 half inch thick patties and
fry over medium heat using the rest of the oil until browed on each side.
