I tried a tablespoon of canola oil, a tablespoon of tamari, 1 cup water in the old iron skillet. Into this add 3 small sliced potatos, sprinkle with Mrs Dash (extra spicy) and freshly ground peppercorns. Simmer until al dente. Then slice in as much onion as you like.
Add a little more water if need be and finish cooking. When the onion and potato are done to your liking add 2 or 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast and mix well.
Taste and add more if needed.
I'm not sure if it's a soup, a stew, or a poutine but I love the cheesy taste.
Nothing like just throwing it together and hoping for the best.;-)
