Roast salt in a heavy skillet for about one minute, stirring constantly, then add the sesame seeds & roast until done - these roast really quickly and can burn just as fast. In a hand mill or suribachi (serrated mortar) grind the mixture & store in an airtight container
Have you tried gomashio? It's spelled a number of ways. It's a mixture of sea salt & sesame
seeds which is traditionally sprinkled onto sushi prior to rolling... I've had it with ground sesame seeds which I prefer & whole seeds. You can buy it pre-mixed or make it yourself.
