5 Hidden Vegan Gems on the Internet

Posted On: 2006/08/28 - 12:11

Well, maybe not hidden, but they should be more well known.

  • Peta's Accidentally Vegan List - Excellent resource, especially for the snacks and for the items you can get in a pinch (like when you get stuck at Aunt Elmas and the whole house is only stocked with beef jerky.)
  • VegDining.com and HappyCow.net - These were _so_ helpful while I was on my honeymoon. If you are traveling, you have to check these sites before you go. It might even be worth it to check your area, you might be surprised what you find.
  • chooseveg.com - Great site for those just starting out, plus a free starter kit. woo free.
  • veganporn.com - All the vegan news that's fit to print.
  • How to eat fewer insects instructable.

Those are my favorites and they should be spread far and wide. Anyone else have any great sites to add?

My site, http://ananimalfriendlylife.com has news fit to upload, tons of vetted links, commentary, reviews, recipes, and may someday even re-commence podcasting. On that note, I also nominate Erik Marcus's http://vegan.com.
