Mayonnaise made with pasturized eggs should not give you salmonella. Egg products,dairy are pasturized (heated to a certain temperature) to eliminate/drastically reduce bacteria or if ultrapaseurized completely sterilize the product. can find good info on the cdc.gov and other sites. :)
